President Muhammadu Buhari will next week, present the Medium Term Expenditure Framework and Fiscal Strategy Paper, MTEF & FSP , to the National Assembly. The expected submission of the document to the two arms of government is preparatory to the presentation of the 2016 appropriation bill.
Senior Special Assistant to the President on National Assembly Matters (Senate), Senator Ita Enang, who disclosed this yesterday, at a media briefing in Abuja, also said the late presentation of the MTEF to the National Assembly, barely three weeks to the end of the 2015 fiscal year, has not violated any law.
Enang, who said the Presidency and relevant government agencies handling the preparation of the MTEF had concluded arrangements on the draft document, reiterated that the National Assembly would receive the MTEF in few days. He added that the presentation would be shortly followed with the presentation of the 2016 appropriation bill
