The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) is set to unveil a five-year strategic management plan that will serve as a guide for the implementation of its digital economy agenda.
A statement issued by the Director, Public Affairs, Dr Henry Nkemadu, on Sunday said the plan, would leverage the National Digital Economy Policy and Strategy as well as the National Broadband Plan.
According to him, the strategic plan which will be launched on Tuesday, acts as the operations manual for the commission to actualise the digital economy agenda of the Federal Government in the next five years.
The decision to do this, he said, aligned with the objective of creating a seamless strategy to augment its effective management and regulation of the telecommunications sector.
Nkemadu described that the strategic management plan, which was developed in-house with the approval of the management and board, as a visioning document of the commission for planning, monitoring, analysing and assessment of the commission’s goals and objectives in the next five years.
