Sokoto State Governor, Alhaji Aminu Tambuwal, Saturday inaugurated three committees to reconcile chairmanship aspirants ahead of the January 2016 local government election in the state.
Speaking at the inauguration of the committees at the All Progressives Congress secretariat in Sokoto on Saturday, Tambuwal said the committees were meant to ensure harmony and prevent division among supporters of the party at the local levels.
According to him, the three committees for each of the three senatorial zones were tasked to reconcile chairmanship aspirants with a view to reaching a consensus among the aspirants.
The Governor however, warned against imposition of candidates, saying the wish of the people must be considered by the party.
