The Accountant-General of the Federation, Ahmed Idris, has been suspended indefinitely over alleged fraud.
This was announced in a letter a letter dated May 18, 2022.
According to the letter, the Minister of Finance, Budget and National Planning, Zainab Ahmed approved Idris’ suspension “without pay.”
The Minister stated that the suspension was to allow for “proper and unhindered investigation” in line with public service rules.”
ThisNigeria reported that the Economic and Financial Crime Commission had arrested the AGF over an alleged fraud to the tune of N80bn.
