Eminent industrialist and former governor of Abia State Dr. Orji Kalu has described former President Shehu Shagari as a rare leader who has contributed positively to the social,economic and political development of the nation.
Alhaji Shehu Shagari is 90 today.
He noted that the elder statesman is a detribalized Nigerian who has built goodwill across the country and he is well known for his forthrightness and humility.
In a good will message by Kalu, he said: “It is with joy that I write to extend my goodwill message to you on your glorious 90th birthday. Your fatherly advice to government at all levels is well cherished owing to your vast experience in leadership from the colonial days. As I join millions of your well wishers, friends and family to celebrate with you, it is my prayer that God Amighty will continue to bless you with robust health, long life and prosperity in your service to humanity. Again, I say happy birthday”.
The former governor admonished leaders to emulate Alhaji Shagari especially his disposition to national issues.
Kalu wished the celebrant a joyous and fulfilling anniversary.
