As part of his effort to ensure hitch-free Eid-el-Fitr celebration, the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Solomon Arase has ordered Command Commissioners of Police nationwide to improve and provide water-tight security during and after the celebrations mostly at place of worships.
In a statement signed by Emmanuel Ojukwu, the Force Public Relation Officer, Force Headquarters Arase demanded that special attention be placed on places were people worship, critical public places and other vulnerable points prone to criminal attack.
The IGP, while felicitating with Muslim faithfuls as they round off the Ramadan fast, enjoined citizens to maintain utmost vigilance and to continue to support the Police and provide useful information towards preventing and unearthing crimes and their perpetrators.
