Nigeria recorded 1424 new cases of COVID-19 on Wednesday as the 4th wave of the virus spreads in the country.
The figure almost doubled the 730 cases logged on Tuesday.
For Lagos, the cases recorded also jumped by more than 70 percent.
According to the NCDC, Lagos recorded 796 cases, up from 431 recorded on Tuesday and 314 on Sunday.
Lagos now has confirmed cases of 81,236, since 27 February 2020.
Today’s report includes 153 cases reported for Delta state on 13 and 14th December 2021
FCT Abuja and Edo states also posted figures higher than 100.
