A member of the Jacksonites Alumni Association Worldwide, and daughter of the late Prof. P. C. Agba, Mrs. Yvonne Agba-Mefor, both of Mass Communications Department, University of Nigeria (UNN), Nsukka,  are calling on public spirited to come to her aid as she seeks financial assistance for the medical treatment of her husband, Paul Mefor, who has been suffering from Parkinson’s disease.

Parkinson’s disease is a progressive disorder that affects the nervous system and the parts of the body controlled by the nerves. Mr. Paul Mefor and his wife, Yvonne are based in Ireland.

For the past 10 years, Yvonne said her husband has been suffering from Parkinson’s disease, a degenerative sickness that has reduced his quality of life considerably.

According to Yvonne, her ailing husband is unable to function and she has been carrying this alone up until now. She said: “His treatment in Ireland has not stopped the progression of the disease, hence his current quest for alternative, but promising stem cell treatment at the Swiss Medica  XXI Century Medical facility, in Switzerland.”

“Scientists invent new wirelessly controlled devices to treat Parkinson’s disease.

“The bill for this treatment would cost up to and about €40,000 and we do not have the money at the moment. This is a treatment that would really make a difference in Paul’s life, in his family and friends lives too as we would wish to see him get his life back no matter how little.

“His family and friends have set up a GoFundMe page to see if we can raise funds towards this treatment.

“We welcome whatever assistance you my beautiful people can render no matter how small, we welcome it and really appreciate it. God bless you all as you do this for Paul. We know it can be done.”

For €uro make donations to: Chisome Mefor IE09AIBK9313731038q1056 AIBKIE2D, while Naira donations: 0066277681 Access Bank. Marcel Ekwueme.

All other donations may be made via Paul Mefor’s GOFUNDME appeal link.
Details of the GoFundMe page/link below is Paul Mefor Stem-CELL treatment appeal. https://gofund.me/0680692e.
