Osaze Odemwingie has undergone a successful surgery on his injured knee.

The former Lokomotiv Moscow and Cardiff City forward through his Twitter handle reported his surgery on Tuesday.

“Heard we won and @ Muniesa92 scored twice! What a day and win!! More good news for us potters as MY SURGERY TODAY ALSO WENT WELL!,” Odemwingie tweeted.

He injured his knee while in action for Stoke City in a 1-0 win at Manchester City on August 30.

The striker lasted for 15 minutes in the game.

He is expected to miss most of the EPl season on account of this injury setback.

Last season, Osaze scored six goals in 15 games for Stoke City.
