The Peoples Redemption Party (PRP) has alerted the general public to a fraudulent circular designed and circulated by some duplicitous persons that intend to scam the unsuspecting public.
In a statement on Sunday, the party’s National Chairman, Alhaji Falalu Bello, disclosed that the “purported circular contains nomination fees for various elective public offices as follows:
₦500,000.00 and ₦200,000.00 for presidential and governorship positions respectively, and ₦100,000 and ₦80,000 for senatorial and house of reps respectively, and ₦70,000 for State House of Assembly.
“For the records, this crooked circular does not emanate from the Peoples Redemption Party (PRP). It is a handiwork of mischief makers who are bent on creating confusion so as to defraud the unsuspecting members of the public. Thus, the PRP hereby distances itself from this underhanded shenanigans of the mischief makers that were sponsored by the enemies of the party”, Bello warned.
Bello added that “In compliance with the notice of the 2023 General Elections released by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on 28/02/2022 and the Electoral Act 2022, the PRP had, on 16th April, 2022, published guidelines for the 2023 General Elections which had given vivid details regarding the sale and cost of nomination forms as follows:
