The All Progressives Congress (APC) Youth leader in Alimosho Local Government Area (Alakuko Ward 4), of Lagos State, Mr. Adio Ojerinde, has lambasted former Vice President and Waziri of Adamawa, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, over his attack against President Bola Tinubu for allegedly using the anti-corruption agencies to pressure political opponents into defecting to the ruling APC.
Ojerinde urged former President Alhaji Atiku Abubakar to bow his head in shame for even contemplating that any Nigerian in his right senses would want to join the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
The youth leader described the PDP as vision-less and politically dead.
He further ascribed the Waziri of Adamawa as a vision-less politician, whose time in politics has come to an end.
The Economic And Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), had on Tuesday 12th August 2025, arrested the former Sokoto State Governor, Aminu Tambuwal, over his alleged fraudulent withdrawal of the sum of N189 billion.
However, according to Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, the EFCC was deployed as a political tool in Tambuwal’s case.
The Waziri of Adamawa opined that Tambuwal’s detention was prejudiced on his membership of the coalition seeking to challenge President Tinubu in the 2027 elections.
Meanwhile, the APC youth leader has defended the arrest of Aminu Tambuwal by the anti-graft agency, saying that “EFCC is non-partisan and merely doing its job”.
Ojerinde further held that nobody, including ex-Governor Tambuwal, was above arrest.
Consequently, the APC youth leader advised Pres. Tinubu to arrest and deal decisively with Alhaji Atiku Abubakar or any persons seeking to interfere in EFCC investigations and duties.
He warned Alhaji Abubakar and the coalition to not distract President Tinubu, as “the President is working tirelessly to make Nigeria great again.”
In his final remarks, Ojerinde saluted President Bola Tinubu (GCFR), for his unwavering love for the country and his numerous achievements in getting Nigeria back on track.
The APC Alakuko Ward 4 youth leader also felicitated with the Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Mr. Kayode Egbetokun for restoring confidence in the Police Force.
Ojerinde also lauded the Executive Governor of Lagos State, His Excellency, Babatunde Sanwo-Olu, for building a stronger and better state.
