Chief David Okonkwo, a prominent title holder in Delta State, has felicitated with the State Governor Elect, Sheriff Oborevwori, for emerging victorious at the March 18 gubernatorial election.
Chief Okonkwo also applauded Chief Pius Oyibode as well as other Ogboni Fraternity members across Nigeria that participated and won elective positions at the just-concluded 2023 elections.
He said that the elections were tough contests amongst the best, but that the will of Nigerians eventually prevailed.
Chief Okonkwo stated that he was happy and also optimistic considering the calibre of people elected into offices.
He further stated that the results confirmed that Nigerians were “now more interested in the elective process, in choosing persons that would represent them and have the peoples’ best interests at heart.”
Chief Okonkwo commended President Muhammadu Buhari for conducting a free, fair and credible elections.
He also commended the security agencies, the Independent Electoral Commission (INEC) officials and Nigerians in general for a successful election.
He also congratulated the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Usman Baba Akali, whom he described as “a friend” and the President-elect, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, urging the President-elect to run an all-inclusive government.
Meanwhile, Chief Celestine Aghado, Chief Sam Akinfe, Chief Mudiaga Ewumi and Chief Tony Omaje have extolled the outcome of the 2023 elections adding that it was the best election Nigeria had ever conducted.
The quartet expressed delight for their fraternity members across Nigeria that were successful at the just-concluded polls.
